Expansion of the University of Rhode Island’s student housing system called for construction of two new state of the art dormitories. Using masonry bearing construction, Grande constructed structural CMU bearing walls clad in spilt-faced block, ground-faced block and brick veneer with cast stone accent bands and sills. Grande also performed all insulation, flashing, and air & vapor barrier systems.
